How to Use Intraday Index Charts Scout

Index Charts Scout uses advanced backtested algorithms to plot four proprietary zones on index futures charts (Nifty & Bank Nifty) right at market open (9:15 AM).

  • These levels remain fixed for the entire trading day – they do not shift or repaint.

  • When the price stays between the Red and Green zones, the strategy is to scalp with caution.

  • A breakout above the Green zone or a breakdown below the Red zone signals a higher-probability trade setup, helping traders capture bigger moves.

  • The chart also displays VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price) — an important intraday tool used to gauge trend strength.

You can use these proprietary pivots along with VWAP to refine your intraday index trading and plan precise entries and exits.

Additional Chart Controls & Views:

  • Users can switch between multiple intraday timeframes — 1m, 3m, 5m, 15m, 30m, and 1-hour — to analyze price action in more detail or from a broader perspective.

  • A Proprietary Pivot Toggle is available on the chart. When enabled, it plots key support and resistance levels (S1, S2, S3, S4 and R1, R2, R3, R4).

  • These pivot levels help users identify potential support, resistance, exit points, and target zones, enhancing trade management during the session.

📌 Note: ProfitScout does not provide buy/sell calls – use these levels with your own strategy.

How to Use OI Scout

OI Scout helps you analyze Nifty and BankNifty option chains with real-time Open Interest (OI) activity, price changes, and trend clarity — all in one view. It overlays a live index graph above the option chain, making it easier to understand trend direction and how the current index level aligns with OI shifts.

OI Scout contains two separate sections:

  • Nifty Option Chain

  • BankNifty Option Chain

Each section displays:

  • A live index line graph showing the market trend.

  • The latest ATM (At-The-Money) level highlighted inside the option chain.

  • Real-time option chain data to help you evaluate sentiment, buildups, and intraday behavior.

How to use the Option Chain

  • Strike Price – The strike levels for Nifty/BankNifty options.

  • OI (Open Interest) – Total number of outstanding contracts, showing market positioning.

  • OI Change – Increase/decrease in OI compared to the previous reading, helping detect buildups and unwinding.

  • LTP (Last Traded Price) – Current trading price of the option contract.

  • Price Change – Change in LTP compared to the previous close, indicating strength or weakness in price movement.

Traders can use OI Scout to quickly gauge market sentiment by comparing the ATM level with nearby strikes. They can identify short covering, long buildup, long unwinding, and short buildup by observing shifts in OI and OI Change values.

The integrated index graph helps traders align option chain activity with the underlying trend, making it easier to confirm market direction.

Switching between Nifty and BankNifty enables traders to analyze momentum and positioning across both major index markets.
